vol. 8

Our eighth edition of ampersand features entrepreneur, product designer and architecture enthusiast, Justin Potts, alongside our first ever duo, Ed Currie and Andy Coxon - two West End performers turned serendipitous entrepreneurs.

Justin’s interest in tech and product design began in middle school, whilst helping his father with his business - an early inspiration for him. Since then, he’s “doubled down” on the things that he learned - founding multiple start-ups of his own, whilst always looking for the next adventure—leading him to his burgeoning interest in architecture, an area in which Justin has found significant overlap with design and product.

Ed Currie and Andy Coxon met whilst performing on the West End, and it was whilst living in their “sometimes cramped” London flat that they discovered the deodorant formula that they transformed into their award-winning brand, AKT. Since then, they've gone on to be featured in Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, all whilst navigating the trials and tribulations of their business - imposter syndrome and handling rejection among them.

Enjoy the stories.

I always felt this urge to keep doing it—to keep building something new. I'm always hacking on something.
